One-day two-stage talks between the government and the rebel group

Kathmandu. 

Two rounds of talks have been held on the same day with the government and the rebel group. Rajan Bhattarai, a member of the government's negotiating team and foreign affairs adviser to the prime minister, said the second round of talks took place on Wednesday evening.

Earlier, the first round of talks was held on Wednesday morning.

He said that the talks were focused on the issue and both sides were close to reaching a consensus and expected to reach a positive conclusion soon.
