India, Corona infection in 47,000 people in 24 hours

Corona virus (Covid-19) infection is on the rise in India.

According to figures released by India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday, 46,951 new cases have been found in the last 24 hours. In a 24-hour period, 212 people have died from corona infections.

In the last one week alone, 260,000 new corona infections have been reported in India. More than 70 percent of them are from Maharashtra. Indian health experts say corona infections have been on the rise recently due to negligence.

Some have even suggested that newer variants of the corona have increased the risk of infection. However, the cause of the outbreak has not yet been confirmed.

So far, more than 11.6 million people have been infected with corona in India and about 160,000 people have died. In the one week from March 15 to 21, the number of new infections has increased by one lakh as compared to the previous week.

Concluding that corona infections have increased due to poor health care and human negligence, some states have begun cracking down on social activities.

India is also conducting a vaccination campaign against corona. So far, more than 45 million people in India have been vaccinated against corona. India aims to vaccinate more than 250 million people by July.
