The Jai Nepal Film Hall, popular among the youth near Durbar Marg, the heart of the capital, is now closed. The hall, which has been operated by QFX, Nepal's largest multiplex chain, for the past 20 years, is closed.
Head of Quest Entertainment Nakim Uddin said that the hall is closed now as he will not operate it anymore.
"We have been running Jai Nepal at a loss for the last two or three years, after the Covid epidemic, it was too difficult to move the hall forward, so we left it unattended" said Uddin.
Giving information that he has been running films by hiring from a Rana, Ughin added, "We have returned the rented hall, we will not run it now." He made it clear that he would not run the hall now.
Not only Jai Nepal Film Hall but also Kumari Hall is closed now. Kumari Hall is now closed for maintenance.
Quest Entertainment has informed that Kumari will be opened soon after analyzing the situation. Many other halls in the country are also closed due to the Corona epidemic.
