Chief of Land Revenue Office, Kanchanpur arrested with bribe money

Kathmandu. 

Chief of the Land Revenue Office, Kanchanpur, has been arrested on Thursday on the charge of taking bribe from a service recipient.

A team deployed from the Authority's Mahendranagar office arrested Lokraj Joshi, a branch officer of the Land Revenue Office, after he had taken a bribe of Rs 24,000 from a service recipient.

Joshi, an information officer at the authority's Mahendranagar-based office, said that he was taken under control from a canteen near the office at around 2 pm on Thursday after taking the bribe from the service recipient for facilitating the allotment of land. He said that further investigation is underway after taking branch officer Joshi under control.
