The Belauri Municipality has decided to provide Rs 15,000 for food to the families of those who have died due to the corona virus.


A meeting of the municipal executive committee has decided to provide food expenses to the families of those killed in Corana, said city spokesperson Binod Nepali.

"It has been decided to provide food to the families of all those who lost their lives by the corona infection we'll start paying in a few days," he said.

Fourteen people in the municipality have died while undergoing treatment due to corona.


More than 500 people have been infected with the corona. The municipality will also provide nutritious food to the residents returning home after treatment at Covid Hospital in Kunda.

For that, the executive has decided to provide nutritious food items worth Rs 2,000. It has also been decided to build a building for the treatment of Covid infected children. Two children have been infected with corona in Belauri.


Both are 15 and 16 years old. The building is being constructed keeping in mind the possibility of spreading corona infection in children.

Similarly, the municipality has decided to support Nepal Red Cross Society Kanchanpur for running a blood transfusion service center. It has been decided to provide Rs. 50,000 for the blood transfusion center from the executive meeting.
