11 committees active in Pashupati area for Mahashivaratri

The Pashupati Area Development Fund has formed 11 committees to celebrate this year's Mahashivaratri festival while Corona's terror persists. A meeting of the Fund Performance Committee has formed a Security Management and Monitoring Committee under the coordination of Member-Secretary Dr. Pradip Dhakal.

Similarly, Housing, Food and Physical Infrastructure Committee has been formed under the convenership of Council Member Dhruv Upreti, Sadhusant and Religious Program Management Committee under the convenership of Council Member Arjun Prasad Banstola, Environment, Sanitation and Footwear Management Committee under the convenorship of Council Member Asha Pandey and Health Service Management Committee under the convenorship of Council Member Vishwakarman Jain. Cleaning has been intensified in Pashupati area in preparation for Mahashivaratri. Campaigner Kishore Singh Shahi said that the Bagmati Sanitation Campaign is going to clean the Pashupati area this morning.

The fund has started preparations to attract as many devotees as possible to Pashupati on Mahashivaratri. The fund has also requested the devotees not to come to Pashupati area wearing expensive ornaments and taking children on the day of Mahashivaratri.

Mahashivaratri, which falls on the day of Krishna Triodashi, falls on Thursday, Falgun 27 this year. On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, the special puja fund, which has been stopped at Pashupatinath temple due to corona since April last year, is starting from Falgun 25. On the day of Mahashivaratri, the fund has announced special worship of only Rs 5,100 and Rs 11,000.

On behalf of the devotees performing special puja by deducting the receipt of Rs. 5,100, two persons and four persons performing the special puja by deducting the receipt of Rs. 11,000, Treasurer informed.

Devotees who come to visit Pashupati on Mahashivaratri must adopt health safety measures including masks. The fund is ready to conduct darshan by maintaining physical distance inside the main temple.
