Messi's two goals in Barcelona's seventh consecutive victory

 

Barcelona beat Alovas 5-1 after Lionel Messi and Francisco Trinkao scored twice. This is Barcelona's seventh consecutive victory in La Liga.

Trinkao scored in the first half to give Barcelona the lead, while Messi doubled Barcelona's lead. Luis Rioja returned a goal for Alaves but the goal was a consolation goal.

Trincomalee scored again to extend Barcelona's lead. Messi then added another, while Junior Firpo scored Barca's fifth.

Messi, 33, equaled Xavi's record of 505 appearances for the club on Saturday. The 21-year-old Trincomalee also made his debut for Barcelona. Earlier, he used to enter the field as a substitute. With the victory, Barcelona has risen to the second position of the league in terms of goal difference.

In other matches, Sevilla beat Huesca 1-0, while Ibar and Real Valladolid drew 1-1.
