Prachanda-Madhav group holding joyous rallies across the country

After the Supreme Court annulled the dissolution of the parliament, the CPN-Prachanda-Madhav faction has turned its protest program into a happy rally.


The Prachanda-Madhav group, which is agitating in the fourth phase against the dissolution of the parliament, had decided to hold a demonstration at the district headquarters or at a suitable place today. The group has changed the nature of the demonstration and is going to celebrate all over the country today.


The CPN (Maoist) has directed the leaders and cadres to gather at Shantiwatika in Kathmandu Valley at 12 noon to celebrate the restoration of the parliament.

 

Ram Prasad Sapkota, co-coordinator of the youth association active in the struggle against the government, said that they would welcome the restoration of the parliament by gathering at Shantiwatika today.


"The decision of the Supreme Court to re-establish the parliament has been a victory for the people. We are holding a program in Shantiwatika to celebrate the victory of the people," said Deepshikha.

She said that CPN (Maoist) presidents Prachanda and Madhav Nepal would also participate in the program. Prachanda and Nepal are in Chitwan. They are coming to Kathmandu today.


CPN (Maoist) leader Pampha Bhusal, who has been leading the Upatyaka Sangharsh Samiti, had telephoned the leaders of the people's organizations on Tuesday evening and asked them to gather at Shantiwatika.
