Eleven persons have been injured in a road accident at Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 2, Chaukitol of Makawanpur district. According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, two sumos collided with each other due to uncontrolled high speed and at around 8 in the morning.
The accident took place when a passenger Sumo (Province-03-03-001Ja0029) heading towards Kathmandu from Hetauda and a Sumo (Na 1 Ja 2460) coming from the opposite direction collided head-on.
A spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makwanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Indra Bahadur Rana informed that 11 persons were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at Sancho Hospital and Hetauda Hospital.
Police have arrested both the sumos and further investigation is underway.
