Execute a woman for the first time in India; this is the fault of these women

New Delhi.

The hanging house in Mathura Jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is being repaired. According to sources, a woman who was sentenced to death is being prepared to be hanged in the jail. However, the prison administration has not explicitly stated that the woman will be sentenced to death. But there is a system of hanging women in Mathura Jail.

A woman named Shabnam has been sentenced to death. The president's rejection of Shabnam's apology has paved the way for her to be sentenced to death by a court order. That is why the issue of repairing the hanging house in Mathura Jail has been linked to Shabnam.

According to jail sources, Shabnam, a resident of Amroha, along with her boyfriend Salim had brutally murdered seven members of her family, including her own mother and father, on April 15, 2008. According to Indian media, Shabnam has an MA in English and Geography but her boyfriend Salim has only studied up to class five.

After the family denied their relationship, they planned to kill Shabnam's family. According to the plan, all the family members were first given anesthesia. It is said that all of them were killed by hitting them with axe.

A hanging house was built in Mathura Jail 150 years ago. Despite the provision of hanging women in this jail, women have not been hanged in this jail since India became independent. Recently, the prison administration has twice inspected the hanging house by the executioner who hanged the culprit. According to the Indian media, the prison administration has also ordered the maintenance of the gallows and the rope to be used for hanging.
