A Nepal Army jawan has died in an accident while paragliding training in Pokhara.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Subash Hamal, who is also the spokesperson of the District Police Office, said that Rajaram Magar, 23, of Nilkantha Municipality, Dhading, fell into the Fewatal at around 2.15 pm on Monday while undergoing paragliding training.
According to him, Magar was rescued by the Army and Armed Police Force and rushed to the Army Hospital at Ranipowwa, Pokhara-11. He died at 4:45 pm while undergoing treatment. He was serving in the Kalijung battalion of the army. The body of the deceased has been kept at the Army Hospital and will be returned after the arrival of the family members, police said.
