The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Akhtiyar Durupyog Anusandhan Ayog) has arrested contractor Manoj Bhetwal.
Bhetwal, the proprietor of a contractor company constructing a Kathmandu view tower in the old bus park, was arrested and produced before a special court on banking charges.
Details of Bhetwal and other persons presented in the special court are yet to come.
Bhetwal has already been blacklisted by Prabhu Bank, NIC Asia Bank and the then Apex Bank.
Bhetwal, the operator of Jaleshwor Swachchhand Vikoi Wilders, had captured the (Khula Manch) open stage last year.
Along with Bhetwal, former Royal Merchant Bank and Finance Limited directors Basanta Malla, Vikas Shrestha, Madhuwan Lal Shrestha, Bhairab Prasad Bhetwal and Rabin Lama have also been arrested by the authorities.
