Police have arrested 22 people on Saturday from the Public Service Commission's Dipayal Center in various examination centers in Mahendranagar area.
According to Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kanchanpur, the investigation is underway by arresting those who took fake exams by changing their citizenship certificates and signatures.
Among the arrested are Avinash Chaudhary, 18, Lekhraj Chaudhary, 20, Vishal Chaudhary, 20, Gokul Dhami of Marma Gaupalika-3, Darchula, Dinesh Mahara, 24, and Ajay Kathayat, 19, of Bajhang Mashta Gaupalika-4. Balram Kathayat, 20-year-old Kamal Kathayat, 18-year-old Pravin Kathayat and Lokraj Joshi of Bajhang Talkot Gaupalika-3.
Similarly, Bipin Chaudhary, 18, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-4, Laxman Chand, Sagar Bahadur Deuba, 18, Dinesh Khati, 22, of Talkot Village Municipality, Bajhang, Navin Joshi, 19, and Sagar Bohara, 18, of Tikapur Municipality-2 have been arrested.
Similarly, Police have arrested Shivaraj Nepali, 20, of Bajhang Thalara Gaupalika, Krishna Kathayat, 20, of Durgathali Gaupalika-5, Vikram Bohara, 19, of Janwasa Gaupalika, Bimal Bohara, 22, of Wunpa-7 and Jeevan Bohara, 20, of Janap.
