According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 429,705 people have been vaccinated so far. The first phase of the vaccination campaign was launched on Magh 14.
The second phase of the vaccination campaign is starting from Falgun 23. At the Corona Media Briefing organized by the Ministry, Dr. Jhalak Gautam said that all the citizens above the age of 55 who have been in the second priority since Falgun 23 will be vaccinated.
During the campaign, university professors, teachers and staff, public transport drivers and co-drivers will be vaccinated. He said that the people who have been vaccinated with the first dose will be given the second dose at least 8 weeks apart and the details will be made public. He said that the vaccine currently being given is of high quality, safe and effective.
