Four places in Kavre selected for tourism promotion

Four places have been selected for the construction of physical infrastructure for the promotion of tourism. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has selected four locations in Kavrepalanchok during the selection of various projects in coordination with municipalities across the country.

Under the scheme, Rs. 46.2 million has been allocated for the development of Bhimsensthan-Gadhidanda-Sangasoti tourism infrastructure in Bhumlu village, Rs. 50 million for conservation and infrastructure development of three streams in Roshi village with a budget of Rs. 10 million.

As per the Tourism Infrastructure Development and Tourism Product Development Partnership (Operation and Management) Directive-2077 BS of the Ministry, physical construction has been given priority under the state and local level cost sharing tourism destination infrastructure program.

Most of the projects selected by the government include parks, picnics, temples, roads leading to tourist sites, footpaths, museums, monasteries, memorial gardens, and fun parks. The three-stream waterfall of Roshi village, which was brought to publicity only a few months ago, is attracting a lot of domestic tourists. The village municipality is also in the process of making a plan with a budget for its protection and physical construction.

The three-stream waterfall of Roshi village, which was brought to publicity only a few months ago, is attracting a lot of domestic tourists. The village municipality is also in the process of making a plan with a budget for its protection and physical construction. Former Minister and former member of the House of Representatives Gokul Prasad Banskota said that the government has added a plan in the tourism sector to develop infrastructure as a tourist destination by selecting destinations across the country. "Along with the development of other sectors, we are moving ahead with the process of construction of projects of national pride in the district. The work had to be completed on time. There is no need to worry about the plan and budget," he said.

The ministry has recently allocated around Rs. 6.80 billion for the infrastructure development of 200 tourist destinations across the country. Apart from Kathmandu and Sindhuli districts of Bagmati province, 20 tourist destinations in 11 districts have been selected for the construction of infrastructure.

Earlier, a detailed project report (DPR) of the Mahabharat Trail of Kavrepalanchok (Lankuribhanjyang-Fulchoki-Gurdumdanda-Narayansthan-Bhumechuli footpath) of Kavrepalanchok, which was selected out of 17 sites listed in Bagmati Pradesh while the ministry was determining 100 new tourist destinations, is being prepared.
