Members of the House of Representatives will get a lump sum salary / facility which has been withheld since last Pus.
After the President dissolved the House of Representatives on December 19 on the recommendation of the government, the Parliament Secretariat withheld the salaries / facilities of the parliamentarians.
After the dissolution
of the House of Representatives by the Supreme Court on March 26, the
parliamentarians will get the salary facility which was stopped earlier.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, all the salaries withheld from Pus will be sent in one go. The monthly salary of MPs is Rs 55,230.
Leader of the Main Opposition,
Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee and Chief Whip of the ruling and
opposition parties Rs 60,970, Chief Whip of the National Party, Whip of the
ruling party and Leader of the Opposition Rs 57,780.
Apart from this, the MPs also get special allowances, meeting allowances, communication facilities, accommodation facilities, furniture expenses, fuel expenses, transport facilities, electricity.
