Nepal's Ambassador to the UK Lokdarshan Regmi presents his credentials to the Queen

Nepal's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Lokdarshan Regmi has presented his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom.


Ambassador Regmi and his wife Chandrakala Regmi arrived at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday in a buggy. At a ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Ambassador Regmi presented his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II at the Windsor Palace via video link.


According to the Nepali Embassy in London, Queen Elizabeth also briefed Ambassador Regmi on the impact of Covid 19 on vaccination in Nepal. According to the embassy, ​​the Queen also said that the British government has given priority in helping Nepal's development efforts.



On the occasion, Ambassador Regmi thanked the British Government for its support to Nepal's socio-economic development, including the recent assistance provided by the British Government in combating the Covid epidemic, and discussed the more than 200-year-old relationship between Nepal and the UK.


Regmi, who has been appointed since the establishment of the Nepalese Embassy in London in 1934, is Nepal's 21st Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
