Nepali Congress : strict action will be taken if Ganesh Lama, of Kavre, is not released

Nepali Congress has warned to take strict action if Ganesh Lama of Kavre, who is also a gangster, is not released. Congress Kavre president Madhu Acharya issued a statement on Thursday evening demanding the release of their leader Lama.

Ganesh Lama, who entered politics from a hooligan background, was arrested by the police from Pokhara. Lama was arrested from Pokhara while a vote of confidence was being held in Gandaki.

Kaski police said that Lama was arrested on the charge of violating the lockdown.

He has demanded the immediate release of Lama.

"I demand the immediate and honorable release of Nepali Congress Kavre leader Ganesh Lama, otherwise, we will be forced to take strong action against this kind of totalitarian movement that violates civil rights and undermines the rule of law," Acharya said.
